An October Night

Thousands of Brian Clough fans joined his family, friends and former players at the memorial service at Pride Park on 21st October, 2004.

Derby Cathedral wasn't big enough for the many supporters who wanted to remember Cloughie - so they gathered in the type of place he was treated as a God: a football stadium.

In this episode, Green Jumper host Marcus Alton looks back at that emotional night and speaks to a man who played a special role in the service.

I'm the editor of the tribute website brianclough.com and author of several books about the Miracle Manager. I was also the driving force behind the campaign for a bronze statue of Brian Clough in Nottingham and spearheaded the efforts to get a knighthood, presenting a petition at 10 Downing Street.
