Magic Maverick (part one)

When it comes to self-confidence, Brian Clough met his match in Terry Curran. Cloughie called him 'Golden Balls' and was full of admiration for the speedy winger. Terry was one of Brian's early signings at Nottingham Forest.

In the first part of this entertaining interview conducted by brianclough.com editor Marcus Alton, Terry recalls the magical three years he spent with the Miracle Manager.

Speaking frankly and with lots of humour, Terry has some fantastic tales to tell.

He went on to play for Derby County, Everton and Sheffield Wednesday. His latest book 'Gimme The Ball' is a follow-up to 'Regrets of a Football Maverick' and can be purchased by emailing jbrinders@yahoo.co.uk.

Look out for the second part of the Magic Maverick!

I'm the editor of the tribute website brianclough.com and author of several books about the Miracle Manager. I was also the driving force behind the campaign for a bronze statue of Brian Clough in Nottingham and spearheaded the efforts to get a knighthood, presenting a petition at 10 Downing Street.
